Tom Judd

Tom Judd is an experienced Health Technology (HT) Consultant in international healthcare, including the World Health Organization since 1989. He is the past Chair of the Global Clinical Engineering Professional Society enabling HT leaders in 210 countries that uniquely partnered with WHO during COVID-19.

• A US Navy Academy graduate and former jet pilot with Biomedical Engineering training at Johns Hopkins, he has worked with health systems for 45 years, the last 25 with Kaiser Permanente half as a National Clinical Engineering leader and half as KP Georgia Quality leader.
• He is the associate editor, of Health IT and Quality, The Permenante Journal, Editorial Board for the Global Clinical Engineering Journal, and former HIMSS Davies EHR Award Committee and HIMSS Global Health Conference Education Telehealth leader.
• He co-authored the USA National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Editorial May 2022: The Growing Role of Clinical Engineering: Merging Technology at the Point of Care.
• Tom was appointed to WHO inaugural Global Strategic Advisory Group for medical devices in 2022 (STAG MEDEV) and has served on NGO boards addressing healthcare needs in Central Asia, the Balkans, and Haiti for the last 30 years.
